Chateau d'Hauteville
International educational experiences
Perched high above Lake Geneva with sweeping views of the Swiss Alps, the historic Château d’Hauteville is more than Pepperdine’s newest international campus, it is a place where servant leaders are formed. Surrounded by vineyards, centuries-old trees, formal gardens, and peaceful paths, this extraordinary 90-acre estate offers students a life-changing experience where academic excellence, cultural immersion, and purpose come together, expanding Pepperdine’s global mission to impact the world.
The Château d’Hauteville represents a bold investment in the future of global leadership, creating a place where students, scholars, and world leaders come together to learn, collaborate, and inspire meaningful change. Through careful restorations and renovations, the château provides transformative international academic experiences, immersing students in cross-cultural learning while equipping them with the knowledge, perspective, and purpose needed to impact communities around the world. The historic 18th-century château welcomes an average of 84 undergraduate students and 45 graduate students each semester, expanding Pepperdine’s international reach and opening new pathways for graduate education, leadership development, and global engagement.
Beyond the classroom, the Château d’Hauteville serves as a dynamic international hub for conferences, diplomatic summits, retreats, lectures, and conversations that address the challenges and opportunities shaping our world today. More than a ÃÛÌÒÇι«Ö÷international campus, the château stands as a living expression of the University’s mission to prepare students and leaders to serve with compassion, courage, and purpose on a global stage.
The ÃÛÌÒÇι«Ö÷Switzerland program’s impact reaches far beyond the two semesters I studied there. I cultivated lifelong friendships that I can confidently say will withstand the test of time. The leadership team poured into me spiritually, and the professors taught me invaluable lessons that extend beyond the classroom. My study abroad experience at the château was the single most transformative blessing, and I am forever praising God for Pepperdine.
